Our Horses

Beth is an Arabian cross chestnut mare who handles most of our beginner lessons. Beth is patient, calm, and forgiving under saddle, making her the ideal horse to start on. Beth has been with us at Rainbow Ridge for well over 10 years now, and is an amazing horse to work with and ride!

Come by & meet Beth!

Roxy is a OTTB (off the track thoroughbred, she used to be a race horse) chestnut mare. Roxy is young and enthusiastic about her work! She came to us just a few short months ago but in that time has made strides and found herself in the hearts of our students and our lesson program. She works with a lot of riders and despite being much taller than Beth, is an excellent beginner horse as well. Roxy is a great horse all around!

We don't know where Batman is, but we have the next best thing! Joker is a jack of all trades - he rides English or Western, but his true passion is jumping! Joker loves to take it nice and slow until you put a jump in front of him, then he is all speed and smiles! Joker is a great horse to work on perfecting some basic skills and moving onto your advanced ones, too.

P.S. Joker was a rescue! He joined our herd over 15 years ago and has been home ever since.

Dakota is one of the sweetest and calmest little paint ponies that you will ever meet. He is the perfect example of a Steady Eddie! Nervous to mount up? No problem, Dakota will patiently wait (& possibly nap) while he waits for you at the mounting block. Nervous to ride on your own? Dakota loves to follow the instructor around all day! He is a staple in our therapeutic program, we are so thankful to have him!

Cinnamon is a peach to have! She is a bay mare who has been with us for over 15 years as well. She is another "jack of all trades" that we have here. She goes English and Western (& might favor western). Cinnamon has been a character since she came to our barn! When she was younger she used to jump between the fields and visit with each herd - she has excellent jumping capabilities! She is an excellent mare to work with and does an amazing job teaching riders how to set and maintain boundaries.

P.S. Cinnamon was a rescue too! She came here with Joker all those years ago!

Ginger is the embodiment of the term gentle giant. This girl is anything but little, and she is as sweet as they come. She has long since been used in our therapeutic program for her level headedness and laid back attitude. Ginger has been with us for about 10 years now and is one of those horses who can sit for six months and be ridden again with no problems. Ginger is one of our main Western horses and we love to have her here with us!
